So you've decided to take a leap of faith and enroll for Bible College. Good for you! Your whole life is about to change. Not only are you uprooting your entire being, but who you are AS a being is about to change. Everything you (think you) know will be challenged, you'll meet people that like to argue just for the sake of arguing, you'll also make friends and have experiences that you wouldn't trade for the world. So, congratulations! You're going to Bible College!
Here's what you'll need:
1. A Bible.
-Just trust me on this one. It will come in handy.
2. A coffee maker.
You'll use it:
-in the morning
-between classes
-after classes
-while studying
-when you have 7 girls in your dorm room who want to talk about everything under the sun for hours on end
-when you're finishing (or starting) that paper at 4 a.m.
-This is to keep track of all the social events, missions trips, and homework assignments that you'll probably forget about until the day of. But, in the words of Dr. Lindel Anderson, "If you write it down, you have the right to forget it". In other words, declutter your mind and dump it into an organized, legible format.
I get it, I'm the notebook QUEEN, but I have reasons to back my obsession.

I suggest an entire coffee bar

3. A calendar/planner.
I found this one at T.J.Maxx for $8 Notebook from Walmart iPad case from Marshall's
4. A small notebook.
I found this one at Target.
-make sure it's compact so that it will fit in your purse or book bag.
-Bible College lectures are JAM PACKED with gold nuggets that don't necessarily belong in your class notes, so this is where you'll put those.
-it's also where you'll write down all your class notes when you forget your binder.
-this will help with the lack of iPhone storage that everyone seems to be facing these days
-less iPhone notes = more pictures of the coffee shop you found on Yelp. Win/Win.
5. A weekender bag.
-You never know when you might decide on a whim to take an overnight trip to Chicago with your best friend only to get stuck on the side of the road for 5 hours on your way back.
It could happen.
6. If you're a musician, invest in some in-ear monitors.
-Your Apple earbuds just won't cut it anymore, buddy. You're with the bigwigs now.
-I use these. No, they're not Shures. However, they work much better than Apple earbuds and aren't too expensive. They work for me. I like them. You may, too.
7. To remember that you're not there to get married.
-Dating is fun, but it's not everything.
-If it happens, it happens. If it doesn't happen when and how you think it's supposed to happen, don't stress. That's not why you chose Bible College.
Best of luck with this new chapter of your life!
